Southwest Slow-Cooker Tamale Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 15 oz can
    black olives, drained & sliced
  • 1 15 oz can
    Mexican style chunky tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1 6 oz can
    tomato sauce
  • 4-6 cups
    chicken broth
  • 1
    8.8 oz pkg Spanish style rice, unprepared
  • 1/2 cup
    diced onions
  • 1 pkg
    taco seasoning
  • 4
    Beef Tamales (600), prepared according to package instructions and sliced into 1” pieces
  • 1 cup
    shredded Mexican-style cheese
  • 1/2 cup
    sour cream

Instructions

1. Place all ingredients except tamales and cheese into a slow cooker.

2. Cook on low 4 hours.

3. Add partially thawed tamales 30 minutes prior to serving,

4. Garnish with cheese and sour cream prior to serving.
