Vanilla Candied Cranberries

A simple and impressive garnish the holidays.


  • 1 cup
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 tap
  • 1/2 cup
    fresh cranberries


1. Combine ½ cup sugar, water and vanilla in a heavy pot.

2. Cook over low heat and stir until sugar is dissolved.

3. Add cranberries and continue to cook for 5 minutes.

4. Remove from heat and let stand covered overnight.

5. Drain cranberries than coat with remaining sugar.

6. Place in a single layer on a baking sheet and let dry at least 30 minutes.

Tip: Serve as a garnish over desserts, or with nuts and cheese.
