Apple Pie with Apple Cider Caramel Sauce

A wonderful flavor combination of sweet, tart and warm cinnamon spice.

Ingredients

  • 1
    Old-Fashioned Apple Pie (85), prepared according to package instructions
  • 1/2 cup
    apple cider
  • 1-3 Tbsp
    corn starch
  • 1/2 cup
    butter
  • 2 Tbsp
    maple syrup
  • dash
    cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • pinch
    salt

Instructions

1. Dissolve corn starch into apple cider.

2. Mix in remaining ingredients and place into a sauce pan. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly.

3. Reduce to medium heat and continue stirring until the mixture slightly thickens.

4. Remove from heat and drizzle over pie slices prior to serving.
